Research projects
The ITSL conducts (fundamental) research on digitization topics by means of an interdisciplinary approach. It examines the interactions among developments in information technology, related changes in society and the legal system. These activities focus on specific research areas in which research projects are carried out with third-party and university funding.
The ITSL is active in consultancy and strongly anchored in practice. This enables the relevance of its own research to be measured against practice, although practical problems are often connected to fundamental questions where interdisciplinary research is key. These practical activities of the ITSL can be divided into the areas of commissioned research and legal opinions.
